Our Summer 2008 Trips

In June, we went to Boston for our 3 year anniversary. We enjoyed the plethora of history in Boston, walking the Freedom Trail and touring many-a-house and museum. On our way to Maine, we stopped in Salem to take in the Witch Museum and other historical sites. We visited our first lighthouse in Maine (Cape Neddick) and saw many more on Cape Cod and Nantucket - along with stellar beach views (sunsets especially). :)

Later that month, we drove to Georgia to attend our friends' (Scott and Michelle's) wedding. While in Atlanta, we toured Martin Luther King, Jr's house/neighborhood, and visited World of Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium.

In July, we drove through New Mexico to see the Aztec Ruins on our way to a cousin's (Samantha) wedding in Crested Butte, Colorado. We also spent a couple days camping at Mesa Verde National Park.

In September, we flew to Los Angeles to pick up Christie's new car - a 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid. On our drive back home, we stopped at the Petrified Forest in Arizona. All in all, we visited 14 states this summer and literally drove coast-to-coast!
